Client challenge:
The University
of Wyoming campus and buildings contain a wide variety of utilities that have
been constructed at different times, by several crews, over a period of many
years. The university was lacking an accurate inventory of the characteristics
and locations of all campus utilities. They also required recommendations for
utility maintenance and upgrades needed to support planning of future campus expansion,
with special focus on “green” regulations and other commitments that will
significantly impact university operations.
Coffey solution:
Coffey Engineering & Surveying serves as the local consultant
to a national mechanical engineering firm during this project. Coffey is providing
assessment, operational modeling, and preparation of recommendations regarding
the campus water supply system, sanitary sewage system, storm water management
system and turf irrigation system. Coffey has completed extensive site
surveying, data collection and management, and preparation of accurate drawings
and spreadsheets identifying and describing campus utilities.
