Tim is the Business Development Director for Coffey Engineering & Surveying, LLC. He is responsible for developing and implementing Coffey's business growth plan, creating and managing strategic partnerships and alliances with third-party companies, as well as representing Coffey on a variety of professional boards and in the community at large. Tim has a thorough understanding of zoning, permitting, and how communities review and approve projects, and he can quickly identify economic development challenges, trends, opportunities and solutions. As the former President of the Laramie Economic Development Corporation, former Community Development Officer for the City of Douglas, and past President and Board Member of the Wyoming Economic Developers Association, Tim brings more than 15 years of solid economic development experience and success to Coffey.
 

It would kill a small forest in paper to print a full description of Tim’s business acumen and to list the professional connections he brings to each client’s project.

 
Tim attended the University of Northern Iowa and received his Associate of Applied Arts degree in Marketing from Hawkeye Institute of Technology in Waterloo. He completed Phase I and Phase II of the Economic Development Institute’s “Certified Economic Developer” program, attended the Heartland Institute’s “Helping Small Towns Survive” class, completed the Board Certification for Commercial Real Estate (BCCR) “Corporate Real Estate Development” course, and graduated from Leadership Wyoming. Tim has been actively involved with the Wyoming Telecommunications Council, Wyoming Economic Developers Association, Laramie “Schools to Careers” Program, City of Laramie Housing Program Committee, and the Wyoming Technology Business Center. He is currently involved in the City of Laramie’s Building and Development Code Rewrite Committee, the Laramie Telecommunications and Technology Advancement Group, and both Douglas and Laramie Rotary Clubs.
