The Environment

Coffey Engineering and Surveying’s earth-friendly approach.

Coffey Engineering & Surveying understands the importance of balancing the needs of people and the environment. The company is committed to supporting smart, sustainable land development in the Rocky Mountain West, and is leading by example in Laramie with the urban redevelopment of its new eco-friendly office building.

Scheduled to open in late 2009, Coffey is renovating a 1960s-era service station at 900 South Third Street in Laramie to serve as its new headquarters. Large service bays will enable Coffey to provide concrete materials engineering services at the office, reducing carbon emissions generated by driving to off-site facilities for testing. Energy efficiency, and reduction of resources used, is a top priority during re-construction of the new building. Natural light will play an important role in the overall lighting design, and earth-friendly products will be used for many finishes throughout the environmentally engineered building.

Coffey is currently pursuing LEED certification to ensure the company meets the needs of clients and the planet for a sustainable future.
